Loiri - Porto San Paolo is a little municipality in the province of Olbia-Tempio, in the historical region of Gallura, in the north-east of Sardinia. Loiri, the capital of the municipality, is located a few miles inland,
south of Olbia, Porto San Paolo is a village, and is situated on the sea and has a fully equipped marina, known mainly because the boats leave from here lead to the Island of Tavolara, located just across the village.
The municipal area is inhabited since medieval times, when there were some communities, there is a witness of this, the church of Santa Giusta, in the Middle Ages the area was part of the "Giudicato di Gallura".
Loiri is a classic village of the Gallura countryside, while Porto San Paolo, is during the summer, popular with tourists who choose it as a vacation spot.
