Posada, is a municipality in the province of Nuoro, of 2,897 inhabitants, on the east coast in Sardinia. The village lies at the foot of a limestone hill on whose summit stands the "Casteddu de sa Fae" in thirteenth century AD the castle had already been erected.

The tourist area of Posada live mainly seasonal renting houses and B&B. in the the old town of Posada, the peripheral areas of the country and the hamlet of San Giovanni the sea.

Besides the beaches of San Giovanni, are subject to visit the river routes,  Maccheronis Lake, the historic center, and the campaigns of Sas Murtas.


Posada is one of the most ancient Sardinian towns at all. As it can be assumed from the discovery of a statue represented a Hercules Italic V-IV century BC and the discovery of finds from the same period, testifying to the presence of man since ancient times.
